RITMGR Operator Commands

You can control the CLIP agent back-end (probe) started task (RITMGR) by using the Start (S) and Stop (P) operator commands.

Overview

The CLIP agent back-end (probe) started task can be controlled by the use of the following operator commands:

Start (S)

Use the START command to dynamically start a started task (STC). The abbreviated version of the command is the letter S.

START procname [,HLQ=install_hlq] [,TZ=time_zone] [,SVC=svc_number] [,PRM=DEBUG]

Operand Description
procname

The name of the member in a procedure library that is used to start the server. The default name used during the host system configuration is RITMGR.

HLQ

The high-level qualifier used to install the Compiled Language Interception Processor. The default is HRV.

TZ

Time zone offset. The default is EST5DST.

SVC

The SVC number used by the Compiled Language Interception Processor. the default is default 253. If the CLIP SVC is already loaded, the SVC number specified here is ignored and the active SVC number is used.

PRM

Enable verbose (trace) mode. Tracing will cause performance degradations and should be done only under the direction of the IBM® support center.

Stop (P)

Use the STOP command to stop an active task. The abbreviated version of the command is the letter P.
